Feed price is not feed cost.

What actually matters is the feed cost behind every kilogram of fish you harvest — and that is price multiplied by FCR. A cheaper bag with a worse conversion ratio can quietly cost more than a better feed.

Feed cost per kg of fish = Feed price (₹/kg) × FCR

Use the calculator to compare any two feeds on the number that reaches your bank account. The figures are yours to enter.

We make no yield or performance guarantee, because pond conditions, species, stocking density and management all move the result. This tool is arithmetic on your numbers, not a claim about ours.

Why we built this

The number that reaches your bank account.

Feed is the dominant cost line in a pond. Two feeds priced ₹10 apart can end up costing the same — or the dearer one can end up cheaper — once conversion ratio is taken into account. That is a decision worth making on arithmetic rather than on the price on the bag.
